Woo, made it to Friday ;-;



The weather is cooling down finally, that'll also help with the fires! Right now it's still 2.1k acres with 40% containment. Crews are continuing to focus on mopping up, addressing hot spots, reducing unburned brush near impacted communities and continuing work towards full containment.



This week both felt dragged out and somehow flew by fast at the same time. One of my favorite nail polish brands, Mooncat, has a sale right now. They have a Avatar: The Last Airbender collab (collabs aren't on sale orz) currently, so that's really cool!! Been obsessed with glow in the dark polishes recently so I grabbed The Avatar State and their new polish that dropped the same time as the sale this morning, Moonlight Lullaby. Hoping someone releases a good shade of glow in the dark purple.

Husband went back to work yesterday and had a really rough day. He's an electrician for our county, so he can be sent anywhere in Los Angeles, which is bullshit if you actually look at how massive it is. He gets up at 5am to get to who knows where (usually somewhere like 60 miles away from home ). "Easy" days he can be done around 1pm, hard days can go past 12 hrs into triple time. And yesterday on top of triple time, he had to go to class after work. Which is insane cause he's just exhausted, covered in filth, stinky and most of those types of crews don't let you eat, so also starving. By the time he gets home it's close to 10pm. He'll shower and consume like 2k calories and k.o. and repeat T_T



Today is supposedly an easy day, more so than normal. They are gonna try to work under 4 hrs and call it a day to make up for how much of a shit show yesterday was. I suggested we go see The Mandalorian and Grogu, but then remembered it's probably also hella sold out LOL So maybe another day. I don't care what anyone says Grogu is a rip off of Rogu from American Dad!

After dinner husband and I took abuelita to the grocery store to get food for the week. It was so chaotic and like 6 of our coupons didn't want to work ;-; but the attendant still honored them cause we got the correct items ;-; Sadly as we were leaving they caught someone walkin out with a cart full of unpaid items, I'd never seen so much in a cart before unless they were go backs :( She almost got away with it too but there was a huge guy in the parking lot gathering the shopping carts that prevented her from getting away.
