Dealing with Brush Fires
May 18, 2026

Not gonna write much today cause I might have to evacuate asap.
I live in the part of Southern California that's just endangered of being on fire for the whole year. Currently being affected by the Sandy brush fire. My mother in law is about 2 miles away from the center of the fire. So that's fun orz. She's being ridiculous right now and is staying at her home. IDK why some people are like this.
There's wind blowing that's making it go and spread more southeast but as of writing this right now, half of Simi Valley has been notified to evacuate. 5% of the fire is currently contained, which means only 5% of the fire is being prevented from spreading. Doesn't help that fire fighters right now are doing the fill the boot thing currently orz. It's weird that no one is taking this seriously. On top of the areas that are burning and the more it burns east = radiation smoke in the area. So honestly we are just basically fuckeddddd either way.
Our go bag has visa gift cards, so we have extra cash that we just never touch unless it's a evacuation situation, about $400. More than enough for hotel is none of our friends and family can take us in. Licenses, certificates, passes, and w.e. other papers. Fully charged power bank and extra chargers. First Aid kit, pads for me cause fuck trying to find more pads in an emergency and I'm literally already bleeding. And some extra clothes.
